. . . I’m a really low key person and that’s my problem. I don’t like to put myself out there and promote my work. I suppose that’s why I love writing so much. But there came a time in my life when I really had to start putting myself out there and get my work out into the world.

Being a writer from the UK, I always thought it would be impossible to break into Hollywood. Not only do I not have any connections there. I live over 5000 miles away!! But that didn’t stop me from pursuing my passion.

Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something. And don’t let anyone tell you that your ideas are crazy.
I’m a great example of this. I didn’t know anyone in this industry and if I can sell the rights to a movie, anyone can. Just be brave enough to tell the world what you want and more often than not you’ll get it.
The best advice I can give anyone trying to break into Hollywood is this. Don’t worry about where you come from. Your education. Who you know now. Just make sure you have a GREAT idea. And by that I mean a really great idea. Then pitch it like I did or turn it into a screenplay.
